Silent Struggle

There is a truth,
That my mind won't accept,
My heart shan't keep,
My mouth can't speak .

There is a truth,
Which I wish was a lie,
Or a dream that's just about to end,
Or something that I could easily pass by.

There is a truth,
that broke me,
left me reeling,
stripping me of all the feelings.

There is a truth,
That's too heavy to bear,
that weighs on my soul,
And fills me with despair.

There is a truth,
That I face everyday,
Which I am slowly burying deeper,
As truths just don't go away.
