Thunderous Clouds

The thunder rolls across the sky
A force of nature, loud and high
The clouds are heavy, full of rain
And can no longer bear the strain

They've gathered up their drops for days
In silence, they held their weight
Now they pour forth in mighty waves
And nothing can escape their fate

The sun has to hide from the view
As lightning flashes and thunder booms
The earth is trembling, afraid
As the storm makes its fierce crusade

But amidst the chaos and the hail
A beauty lingers in the gale
For nature's power is on display
And in its wake, a brighter day.
