What If?

What if a dream surrenders to fate and shatters?
What if time fails to show me what matters?
What if I cling on to a wrong thing and curse myself for the failures?
What if everything I held dear slips from my hand and scatters?
What if I win, but never find out where I was wrong?
What if I reach pinnacle, but without my people I started along?
What if I have plenty, but I am not content?
I wonder, at least to some extent!
